Position: Communications and Marketing Manager
Location: Flexible (remote options available)
Type: Permanent Part-time 1-day per week
About Us:
Black Music Alliance Australia (BMAA) is a not-for-profit, member-based association dedicated to representing and celebrating Black artists and industry workers. Our mission is to educate, elevate, and celebrate the African diaspora in music through innovative programs and initiatives.
What You'll Do:
Develop and implement comprehensive communications and marketing strategies to promote BMAA’s initiatives and events
Create engaging content across various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and our website
Manage and enhance our brand presence in alignment with our mission and values
Collaborate with team members to ensure cohesive messaging and outreach to members and the community
Analyse and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communications efforts
Who You Are:
A skilled communicator with a strong background in marketing and brand management
Passionate about music with a basic understanding of the Black Music and Culture scene in Australia and overseas
Dedicated to advocating for Black artists and industry workers
Creative thinker with excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills
Proficient in digital marketing tools and social media management
A collaborative team player
